Daxiang Baopu Vegetarian Hotel, Dalian, Liaoning — 123 rooms and a 900 m² vegan restaurant

2026.09.13 · The TeaVegVoyage team

A rare combination in China — vegan, large-scale, banquet-capable — with a roof garden on the seventh floor.

If the places above are small and lovely, this one in Dalian takes the other road entirely: a vegetarian hotel with 123 rooms.

The basics

On Jinma Road in the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, Liaoning, part of the Dalian Jingang Group. It opened on 28 September 2017 — the birthday of Confucius. The theme is Oriental aesthetics together with vegan and environmental values: the hope is that when guests pause in a corridor or a colonnade, they meet poetry, calligraphy, guqin and flower arrangement without expecting to.

The food

The hotel includes a vegetarian restaurant of more than 900 square metres, focused on new-style vegetarian cooking and on organic ingredients, with several private rooms suited to business banquets and family gatherings. A tea room in the lobby gives you somewhere to talk or to wait.

Rooms and setting

The 123 rooms are in a simplified new-Chinese style. On the seventh and eighth floors there is a roof garden that can be used in any season; built around it are the Daxiang mountain rooms and wooden courtyard cabins, which are what make the property distinctive.

Service

Inside the hotel is a public-interest academy, the Daxiang Shuyuan, where guests may read aloud; there is also a library. Family facilities are complete, so travelling with older relatives and children is not difficult, and self-driving guests park for free.

In one sentence: a rare Chinese option that is vegan, large in scale and able to host a banquet — business travellers who eat plant-based should remember it.

Details here were compiled from public sources, and the photographs are TeaVegVoyage brand assets rather than shots of the property. Prices, opening status and booking methods change — please check the hotel’s latest information before you travel.
